Baskets of the Haudenosaunee
Baskets of the Haudenosaunee are used used for many purposes such as ceremonial as in feast and wedding baskets; utilitarian such as corn washing, pack baskets and runners baskets. Fancy baskets came much later as they were made for tourist .Many families were able to sustain themselves during hard times from basket making. A wedding baskets, pack basket and corn washing sit on a contemporary black and white basket.
